Company History
V.S. Industry Tyres Co., Ltd. was founded by Mr. Wanchai Srichot and is located in Samutprakarn province (the Bangkok area and perimeters), Thailand on October 21, 1994. Since its founding, V.S. started by producing retreaded solid and truck tires for the local market.
In 2002, V.S. has grown continually and expanded its factory to Samutsakorn province to produce new solid tires for forklifts under the trade name “KOMACHI” for Toyota, TCM, and Nissan etc
In 2005, V.S. was committed to a Quality Management System (ISO 9001: 2005) and has improved its internal management process until it has been certified for quality management standards.
In 2010, Mr. Wanchai transferred administrative powers to his son, Mr. Chawin Srichot. Our company, under the leadership of Mr. Chawin, has grown rapidly. Mr. Chawin has developed our products and expanded them to various customers. This is the new era of the V.S. Industry Tyres Co., Ltd. that changed and improved the family work style into a modern management system.
In 2012, V.S. received research funding from the Thailand Research Fund (TRF) and cooperated with the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (M Tech) of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the Rubber Technology Research Center of Mahidol University to conduct “energy-saving solid tires” research. This research result has been used to develop our solid tires, which are more efficient, save more energy, and can be used longer than competitors. This research was also awarded as one of sixteen outstanding research projects out of 1,600 projects nationwide.
Since 2013, the Thai Office of the Board of Investment (BOI) has supported our company in developing the production line and export activities.
In 2016, V.S. was awarded the “Excellent Product Award of Thailand” by the Ministry of Industry. This award is given to a company that developed its products through research and innovation, thereby raising the standard of Thai products. This made V.S. able to overcome challenges and earn widespread recognition by performing as a role model for other businesses locally.
In 2022, V.S. is committed to environmental protection and attaches importance to safety in the workplace by taking into account all stakeholders. The company has improved its internal management process until it has been certified for environmental management standards and occupational health and safety standards. The environmental management system, or ISO14000:2015 certification, covers employee training in management and includes the systems that operate the environment in the organization under the principle of prevention of pollution, compliance obligations, and continuous improvement. The Occupational Health and Safety Systems, or ISO 45001:2018 certification, is a health and safety standard to help promote and protect the health (both physical and mental) of the employees of an organization. By improving occupational health and safety, it strives to achieve zero accidents and reduce the number of days employees take sick leave, as well as enable employees to work efficiently and have good health.
Today, V.S. Industry Tyres Co., Ltd. has grown continually and is well-known worldwide. Our production capacity reaches 12,000 tiers per month and is continually growing. The area of our manufacturing has expanded from 3,200 to 80,000 square meters in 18 years. V.S. has developed and expanded our products to include premium solid tires, new solid tires, solid resilient tires, press-on band tires, non-marking tires, easy click tires, airport ground tires, scissor lift tires, polyurethane solid tires, truck and ORT retreading, and molded rubber parts. Now V.S. has 3 trade names: "KOMACHI", "Calsonic", and "Solitech". Our products are used by a wide range of customers, including forklift companies, distributors, logistics, manufacturers, and airport services companies around the world, such as Toyota Tsusho Forklift, Unicarriers, Siam Motors, Nissan, Komatsu, Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Linde, Jungheinrich, Crown, TCM, etc. Besides, our products are chosen by many end-user companies all over Thailand and by many distributors in more than 20 countries around the world.
